The Manipulated
When somebody insults you, they push a button and you function like a machine.
They turn you on and then they turn you off.
They are the manipulator and you are manipulated.
Anyone can insult you, make you angry, irritated, sad, annoyed.
Anyone can also make you feel on top of the world.
You feel based on another’s manipulation.
Every action is self-perpetuating, every thought self-perpetuating.
Life has no obligation to fit your narrative.
So why approach situations like a vending machine?
When someone hurls an insult at you, become a receiver. If you don’t accept it and remain detached and keep a distance, what can they do?
Abuses are fireballs when they throw it, but the moment it reaches you, let your coolness extinguish it.
Make every action born out of your awareness, not their manipulation.
Reflect life like a mirror, but don’t carry it with you in your head.
