6 Things Thursday ๐
Namaste,
Here's another microdose of things I enjoyed this week--written by me,ย RaadโCEO ofย LawTrades.
If you like this newsletter, please hit the heart at the top of this message.
1/ A community discussion I launched ๐ฃ
I thought Iโd try something new: a Thursday open thread. Introduce yourself or AMA. Any topic is fair game but please keep it respectful. Iโll be around most of the day.
2/ A private discourse I wrote ๐
Relaxing is a state of mind. You canโt force it. Drop the chase and it will bubble up by itself.
3/ A PDF I skimmed ๐
A collection of advice written by a VC for post-Seed to pre-Series B companies. Chapters range from hiring and compensation to raising money and running the organization.
4/ A TED talk I re-watched ๐จ
Things Iโve learned in my life so far
A graphic designer with a different way at looking at things.
5/ An album Iโm listening to ๐ธ
Songs for Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts by Jimi Hendrix
Spotify / Apple Music / Google Play / Tidal
At 15, James Marshall Hendrix taught himself to play on a wrong-handed guitar and fused blues, funk, and psychedelic rock through effects pedals that became givens in rock and electronic music today. Last week the full recordings of his Fillmore East concerts were released, which captures hours of feedback-drenched performances on the Lower East Side in NYC on New Years Eve 1969. Decades after his tragically early death, his skill as a guitarist remains unmatched.
6/ An art installation I appreciated ๐ฑ
โAbsorbed by lightโ was created show how weโre constantly drawn to the screens that illuminate our lives. The installation sees three figures sitting next to each other on a bench with familiar poses and positions of smartphone users: heads bent, fingers typing and swiping, faces glowing in reflected light.
Stay present,
CEO, LawTrades
