6 Things Thursday 💌
Greetings,
Here's another microdose of interesting things I enjoyed this week--written by me, Raad—CEO of LawTrades.
1. A stream of consciousness
Competition Breeds Mediocrity
2. An art project I worked on
Life Calendar
Life is best lived when reminded it's short. This is a visual representation of that with each week a square and each row a year. Roughly one-third of my life is gone (which I colored in) and in the best case scenario I'll have 2,772 boxes left to fill in. Break through the illusion that you have time and only then will you be close to life. h/t to Tim Urban's brilliant post.
3. A customers life we improved
Cruise
4. An interface I enjoyed using
Apple Card
Design now helps you pay less money in interest.
5. A book I'm reading
A Book of Five Rings: The Classic Guide to Strategy by Miyamoto Musashi
No samurai compares to Miyamoto Musashi who was undefeated across at least 60 duels, and whose philosophy is still read about today. His most famous fight was against Sasaki Kojiro on the tiny island of Funajima between Japan's main land and Kyushu. Musashi pissed off his opponent by intentionally arriving to the island three hours late. In a fierce but brief duel, he struck Sasaki dead with a wooden sword he carved from an oar on his way to the island.
6. A truth
All conflict is self-conflict
